Don't mess up with the jalapeños

Brilliant line by Scott Adams:

"We men are creatures of habit. After a lifetime of using my left hand for, let's say, handling the fire hose, switching to my right hand made it feel as if a total stranger was helping out. It was creepy. To get past the awkwardness, I named my right hand Sergio and pretended I was in prison. That's called making the best of a bad situation."

Closer to heaven

You can consider heaven to be a state of mind. I'm sure it is. Like being happy, or in the zone.
Around this time of the year my mind gets a bit messed up, a couple of months ago I had snow in my brain, now I'm starting to get wind in my mind. So, I guess my heaven/happiness/nirvana (cross the ones you don't like) is becoming more dependent on the wind.

The wind season is coming back to Barcelona. Last days proved it :)

Nirvana approaches :)

Wild is the Place

Someone understands how kids feel.

I don't know who did it best, if Jonze or the guy who wrote the book (Maurice Sendak, which I haven't read, by the way). This film kinda shows how part of my childhood was, though I didn't make iglos... but I had a secret hideout under my bed, a place only I knew about (so I thought). Looking back at it, I still wonder how I could fit in such a small space. I used to run away too... eheh... amazing how good it felt to run away and know that others (my parents mainly) cared. Nowadays if I'd run away, my friends would just think I'm crazy, wouldn't care so much. So, I guess I just run away from everyone, in some other way.

Wild is the way. This movie, together with "Into The Wild"... mmmm... definetely cities are still far from recreating the amazing places that exist around there. Wild is the place!

My new crib

I found a new hole where to live in. This is how it looks when I get out of the cave:

Pretty cool, hum? Just waiting for Spring... lots of potential here!

Airport Lounge

She stares vaguely at the distant wall, waiting for her luggage. But her eyes don’t reach the wall, she gazes to a point lost in space, not resting on anyone on the way. Something in her mind made her stop somewhere, vaguely, in time. Her iPod stops playing and she doesn’t react. She stopped listening to it a while ago. Her mind is occupied with something else.

We all have someone to think about.

She’s not smiling, though.

Peniche will be in the WCT until 2011.... olé!

It seems the waves in Peniche delighted the surf circus. Even Fanning agreed it could be the "Pipeline of Europe". So this are good news!

One more day in the water... throw into the mixer a bright sunny day, sea and wind. Small shake, and voilá. mmmm.....

A great Sunday in December.

Life's sweet!

Cup of Tea?

London was GREAT!

I had forgotten how cool that city is. For a short while, just some days... I do miss the sun and the sea, after all.

London gave me a really cool concert of Ben Howard (actually he was opening Brett Dennen's gig, but he's getting there, being the main name):

And as for Brett Dennen.... check out his music too:

Soho, restaurants, walk home around Tower Hill, sleeping in the train to Cambridge, Cambridge, the tube, coffees and sofas, beers and friends, sushi, pizza and Thai, coffees and trains, dinners and restaurants and sofas and music and girls and double decker buses and people... lots of people!

Gotta go back to London.

Oh, and there was Halloween too:

Another fight with the elements.... the Elements won

Score!!!

35-40 knots day in Golf de Roses!
Sponsored by number one couple Daria and Enzo :)

After a party in Barcelona, hop in the car the next morning and go to windless Sant Pere Pescador, only to go insane in the following day, with the amazing surprise Ms. Nature had for us, blazing wind and an almost flat sea. Of course, the previous day with no wind led to a great dinner, full of wine and other substances, and, as always, on a great windy day the tradition of being hangover was kept.

Now, as any addict, after having had a first taste I got hooked and want more. Go figure...
