A freedom of surfing on the snow

Got a snowboard, got gear, I'm already having loads of fun. And breaking myself also... Fuuuck, hard snow is hard as hell! Having fun over fresh snow is great, but learning how not to fall over the hard snow...

After a crazy week, of drunk night after drunk night, long nights and short sleep I went to one more "extreme" dinner with Ken (my boss, irish that drinks too much), on the night before going to the mountain. I got off the last bar making "S" while walking (single malt... a destroyer) to go home and sleep just 2 hours before getting up again to face 3 hours in the train that would take me to the Pirinees. Already with the snowboard on my feet, with a hill below me, ready to start ripping the snow, my legs were still shaking of the hangover. Blessed Thy Coffee!!

Some days later I went back to, by the end of the day, starting to do "off track", on fresh soft snow, untouched, total freedom to go wherever I want to. In the end I found myself lost and wander around for an hour before I managed to return to the resort in the middle of trees, crouching so I wouldn't mess up in the branches.

It's sad that the snow time is finishing. I think it's time to start investing more in windsurf and rock climbing.
